Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using Zorthorn ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Zorthorn Esports Private Limited (CIN: U58203TN2026PTC191895), incorporated in India ("we", "us", "our").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Zorthorn. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that do not meet eligibility criteria.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You must notify us immediately at hello@zorthornesports.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• One person may maintain only one active Zorthorn account. Creating duplicate accounts may result in a ban.

4. Use of the Platform

You agree to use Zorthorn only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use cheats, scripts, bots, or any software that manipulates game data or rankings.
• Impersonate another player, team, or organisation.
• Harass, bully, or abuse other users through the Platform.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our source code or APIs.
• Use the Platform for commercial purposes without our written consent.
• Post or transmit any content that is unlawful, offensive, or violates third-party rights.

5. Competitive Features & Rankings

Zorthorn calculates ranks, XP, and badges using data sourced from linked game accounts. By linking your game account, you authorise us to read your public match data via available APIs.

• Rankings are updated periodically and may not reflect real-time standings.
• We reserve the right to adjust, recalculate, or void rankings in cases of suspected manipulation.
• Rank resets occur at the start of each season as announced in the Platform.

6. ZE Coins & Virtual Items

ZE Coins are an in-platform virtual currency with no real-world monetary value. They cannot be sold, transferred, or redeemed for cash. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue ZE Coins, badges, and any virtual items at our sole discretion with reasonable notice to users.

7. User-Generated Content

Any content you post (clips, profile images, usernames, comments) remains your property. By posting, you grant Zorthorn Esports Private Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content for Platform operations and marketing. You confirm you have the right to grant this licence.

8. Intellectual Property

All Zorthorn branding, code, design, graphics, and documentation are owned by Zorthorn Esports Private Limited and protected under Indian and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time through account settings. Upon termination, your access to Platform features ends immediately. Sections 7, 8, 10, and 11 survive termination.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Competitive rankings are provided for entertainment purposes; we make no guarantees about their accuracy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Zorthorn Esports Private Limited's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed ₹1,000. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve disputes informally at hello@zorthornesports.com.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Advertising Services

Zorthorn offers paid advertising and promotional placements (the "Advertising Services") described on the Advertise page. If you purchase Advertising Services:

• You confirm you are authorised to advertise the product, brand, game, offer, or event, and that your creative and destination links are accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
• All campaigns are subject to review and approval. We may reject or remove any campaign that breaches our advertising standards, applicable law, or the rights of a third party. Payment does not guarantee approval.
• All placements are labelled "Sponsored" to users.
• Placement priority, rotation, and targeting are delivered on a best-effort basis within available inventory and are confirmed in your campaign plan. Reporting metrics are delivery data, not a guarantee of any outcome.
• Fees, taxes, and cancellations are governed by Section 16 and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

15. Tournament Hosting, Participation & Prizes

Zorthorn provides managed tournament hosting for organisers and allows players to enter tournaments, as described on the Host a Tournament page. All tournaments are also governed by the Tournament Rules and the Fair Play Policy.

• Organisers must pass verification, publish complete and accurate tournament rules before registration opens, fund and honour the advertised prize pool, administer the tournament fairly, and comply with applicable Indian law including tax and prize-disclosure requirements. Organisers must not change entry fee, prize pool, schedule, or eligibility after registration opens except through the published change process.
• Participants must meet the stated eligibility, follow the Tournament Rules and Fair Play Policy, and accept that results, winner verification, and dispute decisions made under those rules are final.
• Skill-based only. Zorthorn tournaments are skill-based competitive events. Betting, wagering, and games of chance are not permitted. Paid entry and cash prizes are not offered to residents of Indian states or territories where paid competitive contests are restricted; it is the participant's responsibility to confirm eligibility.
• Prizes. Prize funds are held separately from entry fees and hosting fees. Cash prizes are paid to eligible verified winners through the platform's approved payout process and may be subject to TDS and other deductions required under Indian tax law. Winners must provide the payout and tax information required by law.
• Zorthorn does not represent that any tournament is "government-approved" or "guaranteed legally compliant".

16. Payments, Taxes & Refunds

• Prices for Advertising Services, tournament hosting fees, paid tournament entry, and sponsorship are shown in Indian Rupees and are exclusive of 18% GST unless stated otherwise. GST-registered invoices are provided.
• Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full card numbers. You authorise the provider to charge the amount shown at checkout.
• Cancellations and refunds are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Payment-gateway charges are non-refundable.
• Raising a chargeback before contacting us may result in suspension of the related account, campaign, or tournament pending investigation.
• Liability for paid services. Notwithstanding Section 11, for a dispute arising from a specific paid service our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid to Zorthorn for that service.
